DRONIQ GmbH’s drone app now provides a safe and efficient way for drone pilots to determine where and how to fly their drones. The goal of DRONIQ, a joint venture between the German Air Navigation Services (DFS) and Deutsche Telekom, is to ensure the safe and equitable integration of drones into airspace.

Review and Execution of Missions

The free app complies with the new EU regulation, taking into account the associated rules and requirements for drone flights. It is specifically designed for hobbyist and recreational pilots, guiding them through the entire mission planning and execution process. Once the pilot specifies the mission, the app conducts real-time checks against current airspace regulations and restrictions. Within minutes, the user is informed whether the planned mission is permissible. The app quickly addresses the common query "Where can I fly?". In case of a negative outcome, users can view detailed information via the app on what specific regulations are not being met in their current mission planning, allowing them to make appropriate adjustments.

In addition to airspace-relevant data, interactive maps display essential infrastructure such as hospitals, police stations, etc., warning users if their proximity is too close. Users have the option to customize additional map information by toggling them on or off. The logbook feature provides a clear overview of past flights, enabling users to later assess and add details to their flights. Furthermore, users can tailor their profiles and manage drones by adding or editing them as needed.
